There’s a saying:
What wisdom is there in deceiving someone who has trusted you? What heroism is there in killing someone sleeping on your chest?
The Brahmin, seeing the minium disappear, raised a fuss, went to the Rajah’s court, and claimed he had been robbed. An argument ensued. The procuress said:
«This is a swindler. He covets my daughter, but he himself is penniless. He is possessed by the demon of passion. This is absurd!»
How can the Rajah approve of what the common people consider immoral?
What I have said is absolutely true, for the minium is wasting money, and here the minium has nothing to do with it.
Then the people, seeing that the Brahmin was a foreigner, drove him away, and the minium returned to the ascetic.
O Raja Vikramaditya, because the Brahmin, captivated by love for Sthagika, told her about the red lead, he lost both Sthagika and the red lead. So, Raja, you too will have neither pleasure nor joy. With these words, Balapandita went home.

After hearing this story, Prabhavati went to bed.
