«Providence visibly appears to those who are favored and immediately brings a reward, even from other planets, from the depths of the sea, or from the ends of the earth.»

«One night, a mouse fell into the mouth of a snake, curled up in a basket, exhausted and stupefied by hunger, and gnawed a hole in the basket.

Seeing that her husband was not telling her anything, the wife stopped eating. The husband said, «If I tell myself where the bread comes from, great misfortune will follow, and I will have to repent.»
