Astronomical Texts

Second, and the most important, Vedic literature has many texts being master keys of the mythological code, manuals of mythology, inventories of gods (Brihad-devata), astroethymologies of their names (Nirukta) and astronomical tracts such as Jyotisha-Vedangas and Siddhantas. 


Such texts as Brahmanas, Upanishadas, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas, Tantras are oversaturated with astronomical information stated explicitly or mythologically.
